Audi vehicles captured three awards for interior design and quality levels as voted
by the auto industry media. The Audi Q7, A3 and S8 all earned Auto Interior of the
Year Awards during the Ward's Auto Interiors Show, June 7, 2006. With these awards,
Audi continues to build on its success of being regarded as the industry benchmark

The Audi Q7 won the news media award for the Premium-Priced CUV category, while the
A3 took the news media award for the Popular-Priced Car category. Both the Audi Q7

Audi designed the Q7 interior with flexibility in mind, with 28 different
passenger/cargo arrangements between three available seating configurations. With
the conventional 40/20/40 split second-row bench seat, the Q7 seats five; add the
third-row seat and it\'ll seat seven. Standard on the 4.2 Premium is a six-passenger
arrangement with second-row bucket seats separated by a center console, with the
third row bench behind it. All second-row seats slide for/aft four inches to
maximize legroom, which Audi claims gives the Q7 the most stretch-out room in the
class. Interior trim speaks of high quality, with padded surfaces everywhere one can
touch and virtually no hard plastics. Three different kinds of wood are available,
as is patterned aluminum trim.

The Audi S8 won the news media award for Best Sound System with its all-new Bang &
Olufsen audio system. The special treatment of the Audi S8 extends to the interior.
Audi\'s top-spec leather covers the seats, in a choice of single or two-tone colors.
The headliner is Alcantara synthetic suede. And buyers can spec carbon fiber trim
for the dash, console, and door panels.

Available on all 2007 A8 and S8 models, the 1000 watt, 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen
sound system features two lens tweeter speakers that automatically emerge from the
dashboard, whose precision-aligned horizontal emissions offer perfect sound
reproduction for all occupants.

Both the news media and the industry at-large voted for the "Interior of the Year"
awards, with each group selecting winners for all 12 different categories. The three
Audi vehicles selected won based on such merits as quality, fit and finish, styling,
and special features.
